Obituary

Pete Castillo, 60, of Plainview passed away on December 29, 2021 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 3, 2022 at Trinity Life Church with Steve Martinez officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the funeral home.

Pete was born August 21, 1961 in Floydada to Aurelio and Elena Castillo. Pete grew up in Floydada and attended schools there. He has lived in Plainview the last thirty-five years or so. He worked at Cargill for over twenty years. He later started Castillo Lawn Service and has worked for himself ever since. He did work on the side hanging dry wall with his brothers.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Aurelio and Elena Castillo and two brothers, Dario Castillo and Aurelio Castillo, Jr.

He is survived his wife, Patricia Soto of Plainview; ten children, Johnny Pena of Plainview, Cynthia Mendoza of Plainview, Daniel Castillo of Lubbock, JJ Morales of Floydada, Baltazar Holguin of Plainview, Rosemary Holguin of Plainview, Eleazar Holguin of Plainview, Savanah Rodriguez of Planview, Belen Antuna of Plainview and Alyssa Williams of Denver; one brother, Cruz Castillo of Plainview; five sisters, Petra Gonzales of Floydada, Maria Luna of Seminole, Norma Hernandez of Floydada, Ilda Vasquez of Lubbock and Alamar Ovalle of Floydada and twenty-eight grandchildren.
