Obituary

Stephen Anthony Carri, 62, of Plainview passed away on December 30, 2021 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 3, 2022 at Kornerstone Chapel under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

A visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the funeral home.

Stephen was born June 14, 1959 in Big Spring, Texas to Serafino Anthony and Virginia Dell (Davenport) Carri. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He married Lisa Clark on July 10, 2004 in El Paso, Texas. He graduated from Tarleton State University in 1984 and was a Graduate Assistant until 1986. He taught and coached at Copperas Cove High School from 1986-1994. He then moved to El Paso and was Defensive Coordinator at Ysleta High School from 1995-1999 then served as Head Football Coach from 1999-2006. He concluded his coaching career as a Defensive Coordinator and Outside Linebackers Coach for Hanks High School until retiring in 2012. He moved to Plainview in 2017 and was a member of Harvest Christian Fellowship.
He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Carri of Plainview; two daughters, Elena and Elysa Carri of Plainview; a sister, Linda Archer and husband Ron of Corrales, NM; nephews, Anthony Carri and Cody Archer.
