Obituary

Jimmy Ray Fullingim, 84, of Lubbock passed away on December 1, 2021. A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 6, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Petersburg with Rev. Ellis Dean, Pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

A visitation will be held 9:00 A.M. until service time at the First Baptist Church in Petersburg.

Jimmy was born August 2, 1937 in Petersburg, Texas to Edgar Bunch and Madeline Exa Gregory. He grew in Petersburg and graduated from Petersburg High School in 1956. He attended Texas Tech University. Jimmy was a farmer for many years before going into full time ministry as an evangelist. Jimmy served in the prison ministry as well. He married Judith Birk Fullingim in 1994. He was a singer and cut many records over the years. He loved the Lord, his family, singing and playing golf.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Ray Fullingim; and a grandson, Skylar.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Birk Fullingim of Lubbock; two sons, Coke Fullingim and wife Melisa, True Fullingim of Lubbock; his daughter, Simone Fullingim of Lubbock; three step-sons, Matthew Baumgartner of Austin, Stephen Baumgartner and wife Rachael of Denver, CO, Geoffrey Baumgartner of Lubbock; sixteen grandchildren, Erika, Trey, Caci, Kyndl, Allison, Cece, Mia, Breeze, Tavi, Caroline, Charlotte, Katherine, Madelyn, Jackie, Augie, Kirk; five great grandchildren and a host of extended family members.
