Obituary

Patricia Delois Casey, 68, of Plainview passed away on September 8, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 4:30 P.M. at Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A memorial service is planned for a future date when family members can travel.

Pat was born on January 28, 1953 in Guam to Bernard and Sylvesta Dragg Kruzensk. Pat grew up traveling with her military family to places including France and Greece. She graduated from Denison High School in 1971 and Texas Tech University in 1975. Pat became an Air Force officer in 1977 with first assignment at Reese Air Force Base, Texas where she met Kevin Casey and then married on July 5, 1980. They continued joint Air Force careers with assignments in Japan and New Mexico where Pat resigned in 1987 to become a dedicated mother to her two boys. Kevin's final Air Force assignment took them to Alaska and they remained for 31 years raising their children. Pat worked as a tax accountant, served as a volunteer kids ski coach, and enjoyed the many outdoor activities that Alaska offered. When indoors, Pat enjoyed many artistic outlets from quilting to beading. Pat and Kevin were relocating from Alaska to Plainview when she passed due to sudden illness.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin; son, Robert Casey and wife Larissa of Wasilla, AK; sister, Susan McMillan of Plainview; and three grandchildren, Evelyn, Phoebe, and Ronan. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Anthony Kruzensk; and son, Rory.
