Obituary

Dorothy Evelyn Hancock, 90, of Plainview passed away on July 19, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 23, 2021 at Kornerstone Chapel with James Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born on October 24, 1930 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to Charles Novy and Lila Mae (Humphreys) Webster. She married J.R. Hancock on March 24, 1950 in Abilene, Texas.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Cleve Pogue, Murle Webster; two sisters, Clara Mae Webster, Deloris Dark and a great granddaughter, Jordan Phillips.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Shipley of Plainview; two sons, Randy Hancock and wife Julie of Lubbock, Russell Hancock and wife Brenda of Euless; two sisters, Carolyn Caler of East Lake, Ohio, Naomi Fox of Syracuse, Kansas; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
