Obituary

Marleta B. Mayfield, 79, of Plainview passed away on March 27, 2021 at her home. A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 10, 2021 at United Assembly of God Church in Plainview, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

Marleta was born on February 9, 1942 in Leonard, Texas to Everett E. and Alma Ray Bailey. She has lived in Plainview, Lubbock and surrounding area most of her life. She married Bill Mayfield on October 21, 1966. She was a member of the United Assembly of God Church in Plainview

She is survived by her husband, Bill Mayfield of Plainview; her daughter, Misty Stewart and husband Joseph of Lubbock; her grandson, Taylor Stewart and partner Kenzie of Wolfforth; her granddaughter, Madison Stewart of Lubbock; her great grandson, Layton Cash; her siblings, Diane Laurant of Plainview, Gary Bailey and wife Sandra of Lubbock, Ron Bailey and wife Diane of Abernathy, Debbie Young of Plainview;

She is preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Alma Bailey; sisters, Glenda Higgs, Jean Cathey, Patsy Wheeler; son, Michael Todd Mayfield; a granddaughter, Brittany Michelle Stewart.
