Obituary

Jose Valle DeLeon, 88, of Hale Center passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

Jose was born January 25, 1933 in Yancey, Texas to Nicolas and Julia DeLeon. He married Connie Flores on June 29, 1954 in Plainview. He was a longtime member of the St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Hale Center.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his son, Joe DeLeon, one brother and four sisters.

Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Linda Johnson and husband W.H. of Hale Center; his son, Robert DeLeon of Hale Center; a daughter-in law, Anita Rivera of Plainview; two grandchildren, Willie Joe Johnson and wife Amanda, Kourtney Villegas and husband C.J.; six great grandchildren, Khloe, Alivia, William, Malakai, Azakai and Elijah.
