Obituary

Maria Padilla, 90 Passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 in Plainview. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Plainview Memorial Park with Father George Poonely officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Padilla was born on September 17, 1930 to Melecio & Manuela (Gonzalez) Gomez. She married Ruperto Padilla on June 20, 1948. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1980. She was a long standing member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Robert Padilla.

Mrs. Padilla is survived by two daughters, Rachel Montez and husband Nick of Plainview and Becky Villanueva and husband Roy of Plainview; five sons, Ruben Padilla of Plainview, Richard Padilla and wife Gracie of Plainview, Rupert Padilla and wife Louisa of Plainview, Raynaldo Padilla and wife Gloria of Dallas and Ramon Padilla of Dallas; one sister, Jovita Gonzalez; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
