Obituary

Raymond Dale Brundage, 67 of Plainview, peacefully joined the Lord, whom he loved, on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, after a brief illness. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be announced at a later date and time. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Ray was born December 3, 1954, in Hammond, Indiana to Wilbur Oliver Brundage and Valencia Mae Fellows-Brundage. When he was a young child, the family moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa where he later graduated from Ford Dodge Senior High School in 1973. After graduating, Ray moved to Sioux City, Iowa where he met the love of his life Rita Swanson. In 1975, they were united in marriage and started their family of four boys.

Ray worked as a machinist/fabricator for Sioux Tool in Iowa until 1986, when he moved his family to Phoenix, Arizona, Bindman Engineering until he moved to Plainview, Texas to work for several years at Hamby. He also worked as a Shop Manager at Westex until the company closed.

Ray and Rita started their own fabrication business, Brundage MFG, LLC., in 2012. Rita and their oldest grandson will continue to run the business.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Valencia Brundage, and his sister, Rochelle.

Ray leaves behind a legacy that will continue to be carried by his wife, Rita and their four sons: Ryan and his wife Cynthia, Rydell and his wife Holly, Rory and his wife Jennifer and Rhett and his wife Aston; and his twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren as well as his three brothers: Bill, Dave and John Brundage.
