Obituary

Teresa Perez, 78 of Plainview, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Lemons Funeral Chapel with Reverend Hermilo Perez, Templo de Oracion, officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.

Teresa was born on December 29, 1941 in Colorado City, Texas to Alejandro and Consuelo (Garcia) Rocha. On September 11, 1957 Teresa married the love of her life Juan Montez Perez in Leoti, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2005. Teresa was a loving housewife and mother. She enjoyed spending her time doing yardwork and planting flowers. The love and company from her grandchildren brought her the most joy, she loved to spend time with them. Teresa was a member of Plainview First Assembly for the past 10 years. Teresa was the rock of her family and the memories will forever be cherished by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.

Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and seven sisters.

She is survived by two sons: Johnny Joe Perez and wife Carmen and Raul Perez and wife Amparo of Plainview; three daughters: Alicia Zapata and husband Toby, Diana Rodriguez, and husband Eusevio of Plainview. and Esther Basaldua and husband Ricky of Lockney; two brothers: Carlos Rocha of Midland, and Alex Rocha Jr. of Colorado City; one sister: Adelina Leal of Wichita Falls; two nieces: Lore Vasquez of Wichita Falls and Rosa Luna of Lockney; 12 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
