Obituary

Robert “Bob” Wright, 84 of Plainview, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 11 o’ clock in the morning on Saturday, August 29, 2020 in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Glen Beaver, Superintendent of the West Texas Assemblies of God, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.

Bob was born on December 28, 1935 to James Addison Wright and Rosie Corely in Paint Creek, TX. He married the love of his life, Carlene McFadden, at the young age of eighteen years old on October 16, 1954 in Haskell, TX. They treasured every minute they spent together until her passing on October 2, 2013. Bob was a true man of God and was an Ordained Minister with the Assembly of God Church. He genuinely enjoyed studying the Bible and helping anyone in need. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing, camping, and spending time with his family that he so deeply loved. Throughout the years, Bob served in many organizations like: Head of Ministerial alliance, Secretary of Lockney Salvation Army, In Spur Food Pantry and was a part of Assembly of God for over fifty-seven years. Bob was known by many and will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; numerous brothers and sisters and one great grandson: Callen Clark Wright.

Bob is survived by two sons: Steve Wright and wife Tarri and Mark Wright and wife Tonja; three daughters: Debra Lambright and husband Jesse, Robbie Cross and Donna Dill and husband Tommy; one brother: Roy Wright; two sisters: Rosalee Briscoe and Patricia Anderson; eleven grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.
