Obituary
Amelia “Chachis” Flores de Ruiz, 60 of Plainview, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 o’ clock in the morning on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Bill Anton celebrating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o’ clock in the even on Tuesday at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.
Chachis was born on March 21, 1960 to Pascual Flores and Amelia Castro in Mexico. She married Roberto Ruiz on October 28, 1989 in Plainview. Chachis was a homemaker who was always happy and never met a stranger. She loved cooking for her family and genuinely enjoyed bringing everyone together as a family. Chachis was extremely outgoing and liked singing, dancing, and gardening. Her greatest accomplishment in life was being an amazing mother, not only to her children but to her siblings as well. Chachis even loved her nieces and nephews as her own. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother: Manuel Flores.
Chachis is survived by her husband: Roberto of the home; two sons: Agustin F. Ruiz and Alvaro Sifuentes both of Plainview; one daughter: Amelia F. Ruiz of Lancaster; five brothers: Salvador, Edmundo, Librado, Antonio and Pascual Flores, Jr.; and three sisters: Guadalupe Salas, Maria De La Luz Flores and Lidia Sifuentes and her beloved nieces and nephews.
