Obituary

Jesse “Bam Bam” Gamboa, 44 of San Antonio, formerly of Lubbock and Plainview, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10 o’ clock in the morning on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Lemons Memorial Chapel with Father George Poonely, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Directors.

Jesse was born on September 29, 1975 to John Gamboa and Margarita Garcia in Saginaw, MI. He was an amazing father and cherished his time spent with his family, especially his children. Jesse loved his biker family as well; he loved to ride and travel with them anywhere. He sought out adventure in every form and was never afraid of the unknown. Jesse was a natural born leader and a true trailblazer. As president of the former Lubbock chapter of the Charros MC, he led his brothers through many challenges and successes with the ultimate goal of making a difference within the local community. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help any and all who needed it . Simply, Jesse "Bam Bam" Gamboa was THE best of the best. There will never be another who comes close to the man he was. He was known by so many and will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Antonio and Calidad Benavidez.

Jesse is survived by one son: Jacob Gamboa of Lubbock; two daughters: Gabby and Abigail Gamboa both of Lubbock; Christy Castillo, the mother of his children; one brother: Ramon Gamboa of Lubbock; one sister: April Rathje of Michigan; two step brothers and two step sisters; and one grandchild: James Sanchez.
