Obituary

Rogelio Garza, 70 of Plainview, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019. Rogelio was born on August 21, 1949 to Joaquin and Esmerejilda Garza in Mission, TX. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 o’ clock in the morning on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Bill Anton celebrating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o’ clock in the evening on Wednesday at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Rogelio married Angelica Aguilar and they were happily married for over 40 years. He was a hardworking man who cherished the time he spent with his family; especially his grandchildren. Rogelio was also a handyman and enjoyed building just about anything. He was known by many and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers: Roel and Joaquin Garza Jr.; and one grandson: Angel Axel Reyes.

Rogelio is survived by three sons: Roger Garza and wife Amanda, Joaquin Garza and wife Brittany all of Plainview and Leeroy Garza and husband Brandon Walters of Dallas; five daughters: Amalia Garza and husband Michael, Nadia Garza, Laura Garza and husband Manuel Reyes all of Plainview, Sandie Garza Lopez and husband David of Mansfield, TX and Ortencia Garza of Dallas; one brother: Alfredo Garza of Rio Grande City; one sister: Socorro Hernandez of Rio Grande City; and seventeen grandchildren.
