Obituary

Linda Trevino, 57, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Our Mother, Linda Trevino was born on December 31, 1963 in Tulia, Tx. On January 1, 2021, the Lord called her above; where she reunites with her granddaughter; Mila Rose Trevino; mother; Maria Cerbantez, and father; Alejandro Cerbantez. Linda is survived by two daughters; Leslie Nicole Trevino and Beatrice Cerbantez, two sons; Jose Manuel Trevino Jr. and Hector Alexander Trevino; four granddaughters; Aryel Nicole, Sonjia Kay, Kazhmyre Lyn, and Sa’Rae Kali; one great granddaughter; Lizaihiah Bri; five brothers and ten sisters. Private services will be held on a later date. January 29, 2020, she was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer; Stage IIIb, and given six months of survival. Treatment consisted of eighteen weeks in chemotherapy and fifteen days of radiation; once completed our Mother was 90% cancer free. This was the beginning of a long journey ahead. Following, came another challenge, a Metasis tumor was found in the left cerebellum of her brain, causing her to become ill. On October 6, 2020, surgery took place, and the tumor was completely removed within two hours, and our Mother was back home in two days. From that day forth, we all became over-protective due to the spread of the Corona Virus. She would always tell us, “if it’s God’s will, then so be it, we will fight.” Shortly after, on December 11, 2020, she was diagnosed with the virus. While these things were so hard to grasp; the thoughts of negativity that came to mind; discouragement in our hearts, became overwhelming and yet, all were overcame by the voice of this beautiful angel. Our Mother did not give up, not even once, and fought for herself and her loved ones until the very end. Her braveness, courage, words of wisdom, acceptance, and strength, became an inspiration. We are so proud that she is our Mother; filling our hearts with joy, gratefulness, thankfulness, memories, blessings, and most of all, our role model who we will always look up to, physically, spiritually, and mentally. We will always miss and love you Mom, and you will be forever cherished in our heart, mind, and soul, until the day we meet again, and even then.

“Gone, yet not forgotten

Although we are apart

Your spirit lives within me

Forever in my heart”
