Obituary
Raymond “Tony” Caudillo, 67 of Plainview, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’ clock in the afternoon on Friday, January 8, 2021 at The Potter’s House Church with Pastor Jerry Hernandez officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Mr. Caudillo will lie in repose from noon until 6 o’ clock in the evening on Thursday at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6 o’ clock in Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.
Tony was born on March 15, 1953 to Selestino and Mary Caudillo in Grapevine, TX. He attended Plainview High School and went on to honorably serve his country in the Army for eight and a half years and was in the Vietnam War. He then went on to become a truck driver for over 30 years and loved every minute of it. Tony married Adelina Delgado on August 12, 1982 in Plainview and they shared many happy years. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing pool, softball, and cards (especially spades). He enjoyed watching sports and his favorite teams were the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Texas Rangers. Above all, Tony cherished time spent with family and friends the most. Tony was known by many people and will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister and 2 brothers.
Tony is survived by his wife: Adelina of the home; 3 sons: Raymond Anthony Caudillo, Jr., of Lubbock, Sonny Leal and wife Linda and Randy Leal all of Plainview; 3 daughters: Esmirlda Rascon and husband Victor of Vega, TX, Sonia Ramirez and husband Jose of Plainview and Criselda Leal and husband Henry Chavarria of Plainview; 16 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren; 6 brothers; and 4 sisters.
