Obituary

Anastacio “Chico” Mirelez, 68 of Plainview, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 10 o’ clock in the morning on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Lemons Memorial Chapel with Joshua Lucio, Pastor of Revival City Harvest, officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Mirelez will lie in repose from noon until 8 o’ clock in the evening on Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Anastacio was born on July 7, 1952 to Abel Sr. and Paula Mirelez in Freemont, Tx. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1970 and attended Wayland Baptist University. He honorably served his country in the United Stated Army and served in the Vietnam War. Chico loved Tejano music, singing karaoke, dancing, and helping DJ Bubba G and Dimas any time he could. He also enjoyed gardening, bike riding, going to garage sales and eating at different restaurants. Chico will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents: two sisters: Adelicia Lara and Alida Cardona; and two brothers: Albaro Mireles and Amadeo Mireles.

Chico is survived by one son: Joe Raymond Mirelez of Victoria, TX; one daughter: Angela Mirelez of Santa Ana, CA; four brothers: Abel Mireles, Jr. of Zapata, TX, Augustin Mirelez of Austin, TX, Adrian Mirelez and A.B. Mirelez of Falfurrias, TX; four sisters: Leonor Braswell Of Corpus Christi, TX, Armandina Solis of Garland, TX, Adelina Mancias of Plainview, TX and Ana Garcia of Falfurrias, TX.
