Obituary

Margarita Castillo Perez, 75 of Weatherford, formerly of Plainview, passed away on March 29, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Trinity Life Church with Pastor Steve Martinez officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm, Friday, April 2, 2021 at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Margarita was born on January 29, 1946 in Rocksprings, Texas to Rafael and Dominga (Sanchez) Castillo. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, dancing, watching novelas and taking care of her grandchildren. Margarita didn’t know a stranger and was always helping people.

She is survived by two sons, Jose Angel Valenzuela of Plainview and Johnny Ray (Cynthia) Valenzuela of Wichita, Kansas; five daughters, Dianna Avalos and Julie Ann (Martin Sergio) Moreno both of North Richland Hills, TX, Melissa Castillo Valenzuela of Plainview, Nancy Michelle Montemayor (Jorge DeLaO) of Fort Worth, TX, and Amy Annette Montemayor of Weatherford, TX; three brothers, Robert Castillo of Haltom City, TX and Richard (Lupe) and Rafael (Linda) Castillo, Jr. both of Plainview; two sisters, Susana Guebara of Amarillo and Gracie (Eleuterio) Florencio of Plainview, thirty three grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by one son, Elias Valenzuela, her husband, Elias Leyja Valenzuela, both parents, one sister, Mary Alonzo and one brother, Jose Castillo, one sister-in-law, Georgia Castillo, one brother-in-law, Silvester Guebara.
