Obituary

Albert Chapa, 56 of Plainview passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church in Plainview, Texas with Pastor Jeremy Sutton of Lifehouse Fellowship in Midland, Texas officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Monday, May 3, 2021 in Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Albert was born to Heladia and Alberto Chapa Sr. on December 12, 1964 in Plainview, Texas. He worked for AeroCare in Lubbock, Texas as a pilot for 18 years and was a corporate pilot for 5 years.

Albert met his wife, Doris Chapa in the 6th grade of the year 1976. They married in 1988 and went on to have two children, Josh and Kristen.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Albert also loved spending time with his family. Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him.

Albert joins Jacob Chapa, John Abel Espinosa, James Garcia, and John LaFuente Sr., in Heaven. He is survived by loving wife Doris Chapa of Plainview, Children, Josh and Krysta Chapa of Ft. Worth, and Kristen Chapa of Lubbock: his loving parents, Alberto Sr. and Heladia Chapa; His two brothers, Jerry and Dora Chapa of Plainview, Michael and Diane Chapa of Plainview. His three sisters, Brenda Garcia of Plainview, Gilda Chapa of Plainview, Jessica and Gilbert Sanchez of Urbandale, Iowa. His in-laws, Dolores "Lina" LaFuente of Plainview, Johnny and Ofielia LaFuente of Dimmitt, Brenda Chapa of Tucson, Diana and Ernesto Esquivel of Plainview, Eddie and Elodia LaFuente of Plainview, Ben and Maribel LaFuente of Phoenix, Eric and Christy LaFuente of Plainview.
