Saul Luna Gomez Sr., 52, left us on July 30, 2021, with his family by his side. Minister Saul Gomez was born June 30, 1969, in Fort Stockton, Texas to Delfino Gomez Sr. and Polonia Gomez. Minister Gomez spent his time ministering the gospel. One thing for sure, he was going to testify what the Lord has done for him and his family. He would always reassure people that God is a loving and forgiving God and can save anyone.

Mr. Gomez loved to spend time watching Christmas movies and preparing sermons with his ”rib” (wife). His interest included ministering, grilling, spending time with family, leading Bible study and fellowshipping with his church family. His day would consist of talking to the Lord, admiring his wonderful wife, calling his children and grandchildren, drinking coffee with his brother, and watching Novelas with his sister. Minister Gomez and his brother Raymond Castillo Sr. were like Mel Gibson and Danny Glover from Lethal Weapon. His brother Raymond being Mel Gibson the master mind behind the events and Saul being Danny Glover trying to think logically, but he wasn’t going to let his brother enter danger alone. He would end the day watching Novelas and reminiscing about old times with his loving sister Marta Salazar or attending any activities his granddaughters may have had. Lastly, before bed, he would talk to God once more and end the night with a precious kiss from his loving wife of 35 years.

Saul is survived by his wife Varie Gomez of Plainview; One son: Saul Gomez Jr. of Lubbock; Two daughters: Nichole Gomez and Polonia Gomez of Plainview; Three granddaughters: Ta-Tianna McDonald, Xzaibrie Gomez and Lania Gomez of Plainview; Four brothers: Raymond Castillo Sr., Ambrocio Gomez, Raul Gomez and Ricky Gomez: Two sisters: Marta Salazar and Biolanda Villas; One uncle: Guillermo Luna; One aunt: Susie Garza.
