Obituary

Agustin “Augie” Reyna was born on December 18, 1950, to Marcelino and Maria Natalia Reyna in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He was the oldest of seven children.

His family moved to the Plainview area when Agustin was a year old. When Agustin turned 18, he enlisted into the United States Army until the age of 23. That is when he met and married Margaret Reyna. He helped raise her daughter Sally and they had two children of their own, Agustin Jr. and Sandra. They were happily married until Margaret lost her battle to Leukemia in 1979. In 1983 he then met and married Teresa Reyna, together they raised her two children Steve and Jerry along with Agustin’s three children. They were happily married for 38 years. Together they shared 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Agustin worked for Cargill Meat Solutions for 42 years until he was forced to retire in 2013 when the company shut the plant down. He was a hard worker and would do anything he could for his family and friends. He always loved to dance. Anyone who knew him also knew how much he loved his Bud Light and Kool cigarettes. He was loved by many. If you didn’t know about “El Augie” it wouldn’t be long before you did.
