Obituary

Edna H. Davis, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away, Thursday, 5 January 2023, at Santa Fe Place. She leaves behind three children, Richard (Elisabeth)of Midland, Bill (Judy) of Plainview, and Sharon Fagan (Jay) of Bowie, Maryland and a daughter-in-law, Janese Davis of Lubbock. Edna is preceded by her husband, Robert W. (Bob), a son, Robert D., and a grandson, Corbin Davis.

Edna was born in Canadian, Texas, on 27 August 1929, and lived her childhood in Wheeler, Texas. She graduated from West Texas State (now West Texas A&M University) where she met and married Bob. After moving to Plainview in 1951, Edna spent her days raising their four children, substitute teaching for Plainview ISD, and ultimately joining her husband in their business. Additionally, Edna enjoyed traveling, ship cruising, and exploring different countries and places.

Edna was much loved by those who knew her and will be tremendously missed. She was known by medical staff and nurses for her fighting spirit and her ability to make thestaff smile. At this time, the entire Davis family would like to sincerely thank Santa Fe Place for their love, care, and support to our mother. Additionally, Edna especially enjoyed spending time with her 11 grandchildren and her 17great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Plainview Memorial Park in the afternoon of Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors, 3605 SW 3rd, Plainview, Texas, 806-296-0055.
