Obituary

Linda Darlene Bacher, 78, of Plainview passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023. A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 7, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Plainview, Texas with Dr. Josh Rollins officiating. Interment will follow in the Plainview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview, Texas.

A visitation will be held 6:00- 7:00 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2023 at Kornerstone.

Linda was born on April 7, 1944 to Cecil and Ima Ray in Amarillo, Texas. She married Clarence L. Bacher January 5, 1963.

She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1962. She lived in Germany three different times while Clarence was in the Army. She was very active in the church youth activities. She had a beautiful voice and she could play the piano some. She loved to castle hunt when being stationed overseas. She worked as a telephone operator for many years. She was outstanding at plastic canvas and she made barbie houses and furniture. She also loved cross stitch. Linda loved her grandchildren and was a fantastic grandma.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Ima Ray; her children, Dana C. Lopez, Aaron D. Bacher; her sister, Sonja Ray; her brother, Randy Ray and a great granddaughter, Autumn Kitchens.

She is survived by her husband Clarence L. Bacher of Plainview, Texas; her daughters, Alicia D. Orr of Orem, Utah, Kimberly D. Thurman of Saratoga Springs, Utah; her sons, Mark G. Bacher of Plainview, Texas, Adam R. Bacher of San Marcos, Texas; her borthers, Phillip Ray of Midlothian, Texas, Scott Ray of Amarillo, Texas; her sisters, Vicky Jones of Delaware, Gloria Land of Amarillo, Texas and twenty five grandchildren with one on the way and twenty great grandchildren.
