Obituary

JoeFrank Rodriguez joined his Lord and Savior on January 15, 2023, at the age of 50, in Plainview, Texas surrounded by his loving family. Visitation for Mr. Rodriguez will be at 11:00am, followed by the Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00pm, Friday, January 20, 2023, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am, Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Raymundo Manríquez officiating. Cremation Services will follow under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

JoeFrank was born on December 14, 1972, to Jose Francisco Rodriguez Sr. and Rosita Rodriguez (Posada) in Lubbock, Texas. He attended Plainview High School and graduated in 1991. He then attended Wayland Baptist University.

JoeFrank married Dolores Rodriguez (Gonzalez) on October 30, 2016, in Plainview, Texas where he continued sharing his faith as an active member of The Knights of Columbus and ACTS Men’s Group. He also taught bible class to the youth for 23 years at Our Lady of Guadalupe.

JoeFrank was a compassionate person. He was honest with strong, moral principles. A man of full body, mind, and integrity. He loved to joke around and make people laugh until they cried. He was dependable and loyal to those he loved. JoeFrank never met a stranger, if you needed him, he was there without hesitation. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, the Texas Longhorns, and the Atlanta Braves.

He showed his creative side by handcrafting Rosaries, building woodwork and recently shared his humor on Tik Toks.

Those left to cherish JoeFrank’s memory are his loving wife, Dolores Rodriguez of Plainview; his mother Rosita Rodriguez of Plainview; seven children: Timothy Rodriguez and significant other Lexi Montes of Lubbock, Marissa Janzen and husband Jake, Victoria Mata and husband Brandon, Valeria Castillo, Viktorya Castillo and significant other Emilio Hernandez, Felipe Castillo and wife Tami, all of Plainview, Scott Williams and wife Meagan of Lubbock; two sisters: Jessica Ruiz and husband Jason of Burleson, Texas, and Catherine Rojas and husband Cruz of Plainview; his nineteen grandchildren: Teighlor Huerta, Audree Huerta, Shianne Crisp, Bailey Franco, Rita Crisp, Layton Wagner, Kallix Olivares, Anastasia Janzen, Aaliyah Morari, Azael Hernandez, Nicholas Franco, Malaki Mata, Braxton Williams, Felix Janzen, Gracelynn Gonzales, Ezra Mata, Tobias Gonzales, Namiko Mata, and Blair Williams, three grand-pups: Obi, Kylo, and Luna; and many family members and friends.

JoeFrank is preceded in death by his father, Jose Francisco Rodriguez, Sr.
