Obituary

Wilborn Leo Phillips joined his Lord and Savior on December 19, 2022 at the age of 82 in Plainview, Texas.

Visitation will be at Bartley Memorial Chapel, Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Funeral Service will be at Garland Street Church of Christ, Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Graveside will follow the funeral service at Plainview Memorial Park.

Leo was born on March 15, 1940 to Roland Thomas Phillips and Allie Marie (Young) Phillips in Pickton, Texas. He was the oldest of 5 children. Leo lived in Pickton, Texas in Hopkins County and moved to Plainview in 1948. He attended school in Plainview.

Leo married the love of his life, Kay Lynne (Martin) Phillips, from Lockney on August 5, 1961. He was a member of Garland Street Church of Christ.

Leo worked for Hamby Company for 38 years after retiring at Hamby's he worked for Daffern Steel and Bob Deisher. Plus he ran his own Farm Equipment & Steel business and retired in 1998.

Leo is survived by his wife, Kay Phillips, his children Scott Phillips and (Rusty) from Plainview, TX; Wade Phillips and (Carla) from Amarillo, Texas and Julie Brandimarte and (Trey) from Beaumont, Texas. And his sister Debbie Rush from Phoenix, Arizona. He has 3 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roland Thomas Phillips and Allie Marie (Young) Phillips; his sister Linda Hollar; his brothers Randell (Randy) Phillips and Ray Phillips.
