Obituary

Damian Garcia, 36 of Plainview, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 in Lubbock. His family will host a time of remembrance Monday, October 31, 2022, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 1:00pm, Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ with Minister Evan Weiss officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Damian was born on February 9, 1986, in Plainview, Texas to Larry and Odilia Garcia. He attended Plainview High School and later started his own business, Diesel D’s Truck and Trailer Service Repair.

Damian had a passion for fast cars as well as working on them and a love for mechanic work. He also enjoyed watching movies, eating candy, and buying lottery tickets. He also loved watching the Dallas Cowboys play.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Manuel Garcia, his maternal grandparents, Francisco and Natalia Ojeda, his aunt, Angelica Garcia and his cousin, Davian Martinez.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Vanessa Garcia; his parents, Larry and Odilia Garcia, and his grandmother, Elena Saenz all of Plainview; three brothers: Larry Garcia of Plainview, Emanuel Garcia of Lubbock and Allen Garcia and life partner, Marcy Martinez of Denton; three sisters: Priscilla Herrera and husband Robert Herrera, and Marlyn Garcia both of Lubbock, and Princess Garcia of Plainview; father and mother-in-law, Jesse and Connie Ruiz, sister-in-law, Georgia Ruiz of Midland; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Jesse Ruiz, Alessio Ruiz, Larry O. Garcia, Emanuel Garcia, Allen Garcia, Leonard Garcia, Jariath Garcia, Robert Herrera and Brandon Mojica.
