Obituary

Ronny D. Billington, 70, of Plainview, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in Lubbock, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Center Plains Cemetery, in Cotton Center, (three miles north of Cotton Center on FM 179) with Pastor Terry Wright officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2021, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Hale Center.

Ronny was born November 11, 1950, in Littlefield, Texas, to Lynford and Mollie Lee (Pennington) Billington. On May 21, 1970, Ronny married the love of his life, Martha Mosier, in Abernathy. They made their home in Plainview where Ronny worked in the irrigation business and later owned and operated Billington Ditching. A harder working man would be hard to find as Ronny thoroughly enjoyed his work. Ronny also loved fishing and he made many trips to the lake over the years.

Ronny was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Billington of Plainview, two sons, Raymond Billington and his wife Angela of Colorado and Clayton Billington of Plainview, three brothers, Donney Walker and his wife Phyliss of Midland, Len O Lee of Lubbock, and Roy Billington of Oregon, and a sister, Pattie Rae Crawford of Oregon. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Megan, Connor, Katherine, and Jenna.
