Obituary

Ronnie Dale Ledbetter, 66, of Hale Center and formerly of Lubbock, died Monday, September 13, 2021, in Hale Center. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Hale Center, with Pastor Jack Thompson officiating. Interment of the cremains will follow at Hale Center Cemetery.

Ronnie Dale was born April 9, 1955, in Andrews, Texas, to Sylvester and Vita (Cate) Ledbetter. He served in the United States Army from 1974 to 1977. On November 11, 1994, Ronnie married Betty Lawson. He was a delivery driver for Hart Moving in Lubbock for many years. Ronnie loved watching Nascar and wrestling. Playing video games and fishing were also a couple of his favorite things to do. Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, a stepson, Travis Edwards, and three brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Ledbetter of Hale Center, two sons, Ronnie Ledbetter, Jr. of Lorenzo and Larry Paul Edwards of Lubbock, three daughters, Tasha Ledbetter of San Antonio, Shadow Ledbetter of Brownfield, and Malysa Stone of Smyer, and five sisters, Elaine Braziel of Lubbock, Jackie Corwin of Lubbock, Laquetta Carter of Comanche, Beverly Sherrill of Lubbock, and Tifani Nikol Sherrill of Verona, Mississippi. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
