Obituary

Lance Eric Richardson, 56, of Hale Center, died Wednesday, August 18, 2021, in Plainview, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Hale Center Cemetery, with Mr. Silas Short officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors. A visitation will be held Friday, August 27, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Ramage Funeral Directors in Hale Center. Lance will be laid to rest next to his loving wife, Brenda Richardson, who passed just two weeks before him.

Lance was born May 19, 1965, in Hale Center, Texas, to Ted Richardson and Verna Pettit. Graduating from Hale Center High School in 1983, Lance drove right through college and ended up a mechanic for ASCO in Lubbock for over 20 years. On August 2, 1986, he married the love of his life, Brenda Pineda. Lance was the life of the party and just being around him made your day better. He was a kid at heart and his laughter was contagious to all. Tinkering on vehicles and on various projects kept Lance busy. He always said, "If I can't fix it, it ain't broke." Lance loved his boat, he loved fishing, and he enjoyed sitting around a campfire visiting. Most of all, Lance loved his family, especially his kids. He will be dearly missed.

Lance was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Richardson, on August 3, 2021, his sister, Mylissa Nicholson in 1999, and his brother, Kirk Richardson, in 2019.

Survivors include his sons, Devin Richardson of Greenville, SC, Zachary Richardson of Hale Center, and Brice Richardson of Plano, his daughter, Misty Richardson of Hale Center, his father, Ted Richardson of Hale Center, and his mother, Verna Pettit and Lupe Quintanilla of Lubbock.
