Albino Rodriguez, Jr., 76, of Cotton Center, died Saturday, June 5, 2021, in Cotton Center, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Center Plains Cemetery in Cotton Center, with Fr. Martin Pena officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Hale Center. Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in the Family Center at Ramage Funeral Directors in Hale Center.

Albino was born August 29, 1944, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to Albino Sr. and Maria (Ortega) Rodriguez. Raised in San Antonio, Texas, Albino married the love of his life, Virginia Flores, on December 18, 1965, and they were married over 55 years. They moved to Cotton Center in 1968 where Albino was a farmer, worked in road construction, and worked at the Llano Estacado Vineyard. A member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center, Albino enjoyed working in his garden, raising chickens, and was a talented mechanic. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Albino was preceded in death by his parents, Albino Sr. and Maria Rodriguez, a daughter, Anna Marie in 1970, a grandson, Ethan Saiz, a brother, and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Rodriguez of Cotton Center, two daughters, Jannina Johnson and her husband John of Hubert, N.C. and Jeanette Pastrano and her husband Ben of Lubbock, three sons, Alvin Rodriguez III and his wife Annette April of Lubbock, Matthew Rodriguez and his wife Christina of Jacksonville, N.C., and Mark Rodriguez and his wife Rebecca Lynee of Oceanside, CA, a brother, Martin Rodriguez of Lubbock, and a sister, Maria Garza of Elgin, TX. He was blessed with 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
