Obituary

Robert Bendele, 72, of Hale Center, died Friday, October 30, 2020, at his home in Hale Center. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at Hale Center Cemetery with Mr. Ron Brunson officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Viewing will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., Monday, November 2, 2020, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Hale Center.

Robert was born March 24, 1948, in Del Rio, Texas, to Herman and Elsie (Hinojosa) Bendele. He served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. On August 29, 1973, he married Lynnea Massey in Plainview. Robert moved to Hale Center in 1953 and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He loved horses, riding them and breaking them. He enjoyed team roping and was talented at braiding lead ropes and halters. Robert's family and especially his grandchildren meant the world to him and he will be dearly missed.

Robert is survived by his wife, Lynnea Bendele of Hale Center, two sons, Cody Bendele and wife Mary of Hale Center and Cory Bendele of Hale Center, one daughter, Misty Rodriguez and husband Manny of Hale Center, three sisters, Vera Hernandez of Rockwall, Susie Magallanes of Lubbock, and Patty Parks of Houston. He was blessed with eight grandchildren: Ashley, Kimberley, Hallie, Quentin, Ethan, Emily, Kori, and Rianna, and three great-grandchildren: Ahlaya, Ariya, and Hayden.

The family suggests memorials be made to one's favorite church.
