Obituary
Dell Harbour, 86, of Cotton Center, died Sunday, October 25, 2020, at her home outside of Cotton Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday October 31, 2020, at the First Baptist Church in Cotton Center with Pastor Terry Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at Center Plains Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2020, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Hale Center.
Leona Dell was born February 5, 1934, in Memphis, Texas, to Oather John and Johnnie Leon (Davis) McGowen. On April 12, 1952, Dell married the love of her life, Harold Harbour, in Amarillo, and they were married over 68 years. Moving to Cotton Center in 1987, she was a member of the First Baptist Church. Dell loved to sew and read books. She enjoyed history and telling stories. Dell was a great wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Rocky D. Harbour, two brothers, James McGowen and Larry D. McGowen, and a sister, Jolene Gravestock.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Harold Harbour of Cotton Center; three sons, Keith Harbour and wife Janace of Columbus, Nebraska, Scott Harbour of Cotton Center, and David Harbour and wife Lisa of Gnome, Alaska; daughter, Jodi Reeves of Lubbock, and a brother, Gary D. McGowen and wife Susan of Midland. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
