Obituary
Elberto "Robert-Beto" Rodriguez, 62 of Plainview, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021. Funeral Service for Mr. Rodriguez will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in Lemons Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2PM to 8PM, Monday, December 27, 2021, in Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.
Elberto was born on October 8, 1959, in Tulia, Texas to Anastacio and Ninfa (Davila) Rodriguez. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1977 and then went to work for Cargill and was a Red Hat. In 1989 he then went to work for Dow Chemical Plant as a subcontractor, then worked for Phillips Oil Refinery. He enjoyed freehand drawing, music, especially 80’s and classic rock, Star Wars, and Star Trek. He loved Harley Motorcycles and was a member of the Los Riders Motorcycle Club. Elberto was a very reserved man and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
He is survived by two brothers, Roland, and Paul Rodriguez both of Plainview; two sisters, Maria C. “Mary” Rodriguez of Lake Jackson, Texas and Virginia “Vicki” Rodriguez-Chavez and brother-in-law, Rosendo N. Chavez of Angelton, Texas; his Bully Breed Pitbull, “Chata” and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Aceneth “AC’ Marin, and one brother, Jesse Rodriguez.
