Obituary
Margaret Marie Aragon, 81, of Amarillo and formerly of Hale Center, died Thursday, January 23, 2020, in Amarillo. Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM, Monday, January 27, 2020, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church with Fr. Jacob Powell officiating. Interment will follow at Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Margaret was born July 18, 1938, in Amarillo, Texas, to Pablo and Margaret (Vigel) Gonzales. She married Procopio (P.C.) Aragon on July 18, 1953. Moving to Hale Center in 1984, where she worked as the dietician at Hi-Plains Hospital, Margaret moved to Amarillo in 2005. A member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center, Margaret enjoyed crafting, crocheting, and word puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, P.C. Aragon in 2002, and four sisters, Lena Borquez, Josie Baca, Margarita Quintana, and Virginia Martinez.
Survivors include four sons, Leo Aragon and wife Dora of Friona, Phillip Aragon and wife Debbie of Duncan, OK, Bernabe Aragon of Amarillo, and Jesse Aragon and wife Gloria of Friona, and three daughters, Rosemary Madrid and husband Rosendo of Amarillo, Agnes Saiz and husband George of Kingsland, Texas, and Angie Aragon of Amarillo. She was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren and special friends, caregiver, Maria Madrid and her neighbor, Maria.
