Obituary

Timoteo B. "Dario" Silva, 73, of Hale Center, died Saturday, January 18, 2020, in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 23, 2020, at Iglesio Bautista Del Carpintero in Hale Center with Pastor Victor Hernandez and Pastor Johnny Plasencio officiating. Interment will follow at Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held at Iglesio Bautista Del Carpintero on Wednesday, January 22, beginning at 10:00 AM.

Timoteo was born December 19, 1946, to Mike and Frances (Bravo) Silva. He married Eva Plasencio on January 9, 1969, in Paducah, Texas. A 42 year resident of Hale Center, Tim was a member of Iglesio Bautista Del Carpintero in Hale Center. Tim was a talented self-taught mechanic and carpenter and was known as a fixer with a 1000 talents. A self-proclaimed antique collector, Tim enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. He will be especially missed by his blue heeler, Blue, who was his best friend and coffee mate.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and a sister.

Survivors include his wife Eva Silva of Hale Center, two sons, Timoteo Silva, Jr. of Great Falls, MT and Michael Lee Silva and his wife Jacqueline of Hale Center, four daughters, Norma Baca and her husband Pat of Hale Center, Sally Silva of Colorado Springs, Julie Silva of Lubbock,and Stephanie Guerra of Plainview, a brother, Ruben Silva of Pampa, and three sisters, Clara Hall of Ft. Worth, Andrea Silva of Amarillo, and Linda Silva of Amarillo. He was blessed with 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
