Obituary

Lionedo Calderon, 80, of Hale Center, died Friday, July 19, 2019, in Hale Center. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, July 22, 2019, at Hale Center Cemetery and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Lionedo was born March 12, 1939, in Austin, Texas, to Trinidad and Esperanza Calderon. He was a welder and moved to Hale Center in 2016 from Dallas. Lionedo was a talented musician and excelled at the accordion and the guitar. He enjoyed camping and his dogs were important to him. Most of all, Lio loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Johnny Calderon.

Survivors include two sons, Christian Calderon of Hale Center and Richard Calderon of San Antonio, one daughter, Candace Calderon of Dallas, four brothers, Jimmy Calderon of Hale Center, Raymond Calderon of Hale Center, Frank Calderon of Euless, and Trinidad Calderon of Hale Center, and four sisters, Connie Calderon of Texas City, Mary C. Gutierrez of Hale Center, Socoro Riojas of Garden City, Kansas, and Janie Arcega of Galveston. He was blessed with three grandchildren.
