Graveside services for Nila Ray Kelley, 78, of Ozona, TX, will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 20, 2021, in the Abernathy Cemetery with Rev. Mark Fricke officiating. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX.

Nila Ray Kelley, known by most as Mug or Nanny, died Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in San Angelo, TX surrounded by her family.

She was born April 10, 1943 in Tahoka, TX to Olan Ray and Irene (Holt) Blair. She graduated O'Donnell High School in 1961. She married John Willis Kelley on December 31st. They moved to Ozona, TX in 1978. Over the years, Nila worked in the office of JNS Construction. Her legacy will be rememberd in may ways, but specifically in how she helped build the J. Cleo Thompson Wellness Center in Ozona, where she served as treasurer.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Willis Kelley, June 10, 2019.

She is survived by a son Scott Allen Kelley of Ozona, TX, 2 grandsons, and Ross Jonathan Kelley of San Angelo, Corey Allen Kelley of Ozona, daughter-in-law Nicole Kelley and a great granddaughter, Gracelyn Nicole Kelley of San Angelo, a brother, Don Blair and wife Lorene of O'Donnell, TX and a sister, Nell Warneke of Weatherford, TX.
