Obituary
Barbara Ann Pauda, 65 of Plainview, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00AM, Monday, January 17, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Bill Anton officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. A Rosary will be at 6:00PM, Sunday, January16, 2022, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.
Barbara was born on August 29, 1956, in Peru, Indiana to Joe and Lupe (Perez) Rios. She was the bookstore accounting clerk at Wayland Baptist University for over 20 years and enjoyed watching sports, especially watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns play. She also enjoyed collecting carousels and Santa figurines, as well as listening to all genres of music, especially Elvis. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and did everything with them and was devoted in her Catholic faith.
Barbara is survived by one son, Patrick Pauda of Denton; one daughter, Jennifer (Carlton) Fulton of Plainview; her parents, Joe and Lupe Rios of Hale Center; five grandchildren, Haley and Janessa Pauda and Dominic, Kingston, and Keilani Fulton; one brother, Thomas Rios of Lubbock; two sisters, Jo Ann Gamboa of Lubbock and Cynthia Trevino of Plainview. She is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Pauda and one sister, Georgia Faye Rios.
