Obituary

Rebecca Kay McAllister, 59, of Plainview, departed this earthly world and entered heaven’s gates on July 15, 2022. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on July 23, 2022, at Bartley Memorial Chapel.

Rebecca was born in Tulia, Texas on July 1, 1963, to George Sewell Sr. and Mary Farmer. She grew up in Tulia and Plainview and attended Plainview schools. She received her Medical Assistant License from Franklin Medical College in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She worked for Covenant Health Plainview and Swisher Memorial in Tulia. She ended her working career doing clerical work for different companies.

Rebecca was a loving person who always had a listening ear. She enjoyed people and loved to visit with others. She also enjoyed fishing and went every chance that she got. She had a love for jewelry, clothes, and nails. She loved getting dolled up. Above everything, she loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them.

Rebecca will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children; Nathan DuPont of Plainview, Candace Sewell and husband, Eric Raybal, of Plainview, and Christine Smith and husband, Bobby, of Pampa, TX, her brother; George Sewell Jr. and wife, Janie, of Plainview, grandchildren; Caleb Wilhite, Kyley Wilhite, Natalie DuPont, Tate DuPont, Payton Sewell, Arika Raybal, Alyssa Raybal, Jai Castillo, Tye Castillo, Dru Castillo, Jessica Blodgett, Emily Smith, and Madison Smith, one great-grandchild; Liyah Martinez.

Rebecca is proceeded in death by her parents George and Mary Sewell, and her sisters; Karen Sewell and Teresa Hareford.
