Obituary

Tito Mauricio Ocanas, 64, of Plainview, Texas, departed this earthly world and entered heaven’s gates on June 14, 2022. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home from 6-8.

Tito was born on October 13, 1957, to Refugio Ocanas Sr. and Marylou Salinas in Levelland, Texas. He grew up in Kress, Texas where he attended school. Tito joined the Army in 1975 and served as a private until 1979. He worked in the trucking industry as a truck driver for over 27 years. He married the love of his life, Nora Cisneros, on February 13, 1993, in Plainview, Texas.

Tito enjoyed riding on his Harley and going to the drag strip. He had a passion for motorcycles and was part of a biker club. Tito always had a joke up his sleeve and a clever nickname to give to anyone he met. He was also stubborn, hard-headed, and lovingly called, Mr. Right. He was also extremely humble and generous. Most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his family and loved ones.

Tito Mauricio Ocanas will be remembered as a wonderful husband, a great dad to his sons and daughters “little babies”, and a loving grandfather to his munchkins.

Those left to cherish his memory and legacy is his wife; Nora Ocanas of Plainview, his children; Priscilla Casarez and husband, Mike, of McGregor, Texas, Tito Ocanas Jr. and wife, Samantha, of McGregor, Texas, Brittany Cisneros and husband, Robert, of Arlington, TX, Gabriella Gomez and husband, Jesus, of Waxahachie, Texas, and Rico Ocanas of Plainview, Texas, grandchildren; Eric Barajas, Briana Casarez, Ayden Araujo, Skylar Ocanas, Isabella Araujo, Kali Ocanas, Noah Araujo, and Alani Gomez, he was also blessed with 2 great-grandchildren, siblings; Juan Ocanas, Refugio Ocanas Jr., Lena Rodriguez, Joe Ocanas, Dalhia Sustaita, and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
