Obituary

Frank Castro, 56, of Plainview, departed from this earthly world and entered heaven’s gates on January 24, 2022. Rosary services will be held at Bartley Funeral Home on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Bartley Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m.

Frank was born on August 21, 1965, in Lockney Texas to Felicita and Richard Castro Sr. He served in the United States Army as a Medical Specialist from 1986 to 1989. He received many awards including expert badge (Rifle m-16) and Marksmanship badge. He married Melissa Molina on April 24, 1985, in Floyd County, Texas. Frank was a long-time resident of Plainview.

Frank enjoyed music and singing but above all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter; Natalie Castro of Plainview, grandchildren; Samara Castro, Antonio Mendoza, Chasity Mendoza, and Monte Mendoza, all of Plainview, step-sons; Timothy Padilla, Nathaniel Molina of Plainview, and Joshua Molina of New Mexico, his brothers; Joe Castro and wife, Stella, of Lockney, Pedro Castro and wife, Maggie, of Sacramento, California, Richard Castro Jr. of Louisiana, Paul Castro of Denver, Colorado, Jesse Castro and wife Diana, of Amarillo, his sisters; Cipriana Garcia and husband, David, of Lubbock, Cathy Rosales and husband, Abraham, Gloria Ellis and husband, Pete, of Plainview, Angie Ochoa and husband, Joe, of Amarillo, Irene Leija of Lubbock, and Jovita Hernandez and husband Robert, of Amarillo.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Melissa Castro.
