Obituary
Aurilano Salas Jr., 65, of Hale Center, departed this earthly world and entered heaven's gates on January 23, 2022. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Bartley Funeral Home. A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Bartley Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m.
Aurilano was born February 20, 1956 in Corpus Christi, TX., to Aurilano, Sr. and Esmeralda Salas. He was a lifelong resident of Hale Center. Aurilano worked as a grain elevator operator and retired after 40 years. He married Isabel Flores, July 31, 1978 in Plainview. He loved his family dearly and never met a stranger. He enjoyed working on his 1971 Chevy Super Sport, fishing and especially enjoyed music and dancing “The Twist”. He will always be loved and greatly missed by his family and those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Aurilano, Sr. in 2001; and his brothers Joe Salas in 2021, David Salas in 2020, Danny Salas in 2015 and Louis Salas in 2013.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Isabel; daughters Annalisa Salas and Leticia Salas (Jose Louis Porras) all of Hale Center; brother Rudy Salas of Hale Center; sisters Diana Sepeda (Domingo) of Dallas, Irene Salas (Tom Foster) of Lubbock, Esmeralda Logan (Travis) of Dallas; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Casketbearers will be Diana Sepeda, Alfred Jimenez, Rudy Salas, Jose Louis Porras, Adam Salas, Ephraim Flores.
