Obituary

Cindy Wieland, 50 of Plainview, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Plainview, Texas. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at Bartley Funeral Home on Monday, January 17, 2022 from 5-7 p.m.

Cindy was born on April 25, 1971 in Plainview TX to David Hall and Alice Lockeby. She grew up in the quiet town of Plainview, Tx where she attended Plainview High School. While attending high school she became a licensed cosmetologist. After graduating, she continued to do hair and attended West Texas A&M University. She later received her certificate in banking and joined the HCSB team. She worked for the bank for 29 years and eventually became the Assistant Vice President of Accounting at Happy State Bank. She enjoyed every second of her job and all the amazing people she worked with. It was truly her passion.

Cindy married the love of her life, Keith Wieland, on March 9, 1991. Keith and Cindy met as middle schoolers and the rest was history. They dated for 6 years and were married for 30. Soul mates and best friends, they truly did everything together. They built a life here in Plainview and had two beautiful daughters: Kenzie and Kaitlyn. She was a devoted mother, who never missed anything that had to do with her children. From proud member of the PTA, Read First volunteer, Bible Buddies leader, YMCA Soccer Coach, to Cheer Board President, Band Parent, Debutante Treasurer, and so much more. She was there by their side for it all cheering them on. Her girls were the light of her life. Cindy became a Gramsie in 2020 and her world found a new purpose. She enjoyed keeping Karsyn and spoiling her rotten.

The community also held a special place in Cindy’s heart. She was passionate about lending a helping hand to others. She was a graduate of Leadership Plainview in 2000 and was awarded the SIFE Award in 2012. Cindy was a member of United Way, Soroptimist, Salvation Army Board and Main Street Board, where she held numerous positions including President. She had the heart of a servant and never hesitated to help no questions asked. This stemmed from her faith in God. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Plainview, TX. Cindy was strong in her faith and shared it with many.

She was proceeded in death by her beloved aunts Mary Driver and Jodie Chandler, niece Haylee Wieland and nephew Chad Wieland, and one great nephew Simcha Green.

She is survived by her husband, Keith Wieland of Plainview, TX; daughter Kenzie Bolton and husband Kaden Bolton of Plainview, TX; daughter, Kaitlyn Wieland of Plainview, TX; mother Alice Lockeby of Plainview, TX; father David Hall and stepmother Diane Hall of Boynton, OK; stepfather Paul Sawayer of Austin, TX; uncle Doyle Driver of Plainview, TX; stepsister Teresa Jones of Levelland, TX; stepsister Bobbie Jones of Boynton, OK; brother-in-law Kevin Wieland of Lubbock, Tx; sister-in-law Melanie Rice of Amarillo, Tx; granddaughter Karsyn Bolton; nephew Ryan Littlefield of Levelland, TX; niece Kindrum Obenhaus of Boynton, OK; niece Whitney Green and husband Wade Green of Hudson, WI and nephew Kyle Wieland of Lubbock, TX.
