Obituary

Jose Guadalupe Reyes, Jr., 49 of Plainview, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Bill Anton officiating. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm, Friday, January 28, 2022, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Jose was born on March 16, 1972, in Weslaco, Texas to Guadalupe and Flor Estela (Romero) Reyes. He married Maria Guadalupe Bueno on July 13, 1993, in Granada, Colorado. He enjoyed playing the guitar, karaoke, joking around and playfully scaring kids. He was a truck driver and really enjoyed it.

Jose is survived by his wife, Maria Reyes of Plainview; three sons, Sergio and Bernadette Bueno, Emeterio and Santiago Reyes all of Plainview; five daughters, Mariah Reyes of Lubbock, Luna Reyes and Nelson Hernandez, Estrella Reyes and Rafael Deochoa, Gloria Reyes and Stephan Perez, and AnaMarie Reyes all of Plainview; his mother, Flor Estela Reyes of Plainview; three brothers, Fedencio, Eduardo, and Victor Reyes all of Plainview; three sisters, Maria and Julie Hernandez and Maria Bastian all of Plainview; and fourteen grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Guadalupe Reyes.
