Jennie Mae McGee -- Monroe Sunrise January 15, 1934 – Sunset March 31, 2023

Jennie McGee Monroe joined her Lord and Savior at the age of 89, on March 31, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Visitation Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 6 to 8 at Bartley Memorial Chapel.

Services: Friday, April 7, 2023 at 2:00 pm United Baptist Church

Jennie was born to Alex and Hazel Craft on January 15, 1934, in Rudyard, Mississippi.

Jennie graduated and attended school at Hull Jr and Sr High School in Cahoma, Mississippi. Afterwards she attended nursing school where she received her LVN and she went on to work in the surgery department for many years. She loved being a nurse and helping those in need. She was part of United Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was also a member of the Adult ’Women’s Study Club. She loved to play Spades. Cooking for others was also a passion of hers.

A special thanks to the great-grandkids that helped Mimi in her time of need.

Jennie leaves to cherish her memories: Her Children: Charles McGee, Ben and Doris McGee both of Planview; Her 5 Grandchildren: Jennica and Will Williams of Littlefield; Paul III and JoAnn Martin; Tommecia McGee and Tracy Williams of Tulia; Micki and Joseph Price and Charles (Lil Jackie) and MK McGee of Fresno, California. Her 17 Great-Grandchildren and 18 Great - Great Grandchildren. And her very close friend Yvonne Franklin.

Jennie was proceeded in death by her parents: Alex and Hazel Craft; husbands: Percy McGee and Roosevelt Monroe; Her child, Edward McGee; Her sisters: Hazel McCray, Gracie Walker, Aunt Man Craft, Luberta Ware. Her 4 brothers: Ozell Craft, Ezell Craft, James Alex Craft, Jr., John Craft.

The Family of Jennie Mae McGee Monroe is grateful beyond measure for the generous outpouring of loving thoughts, good deeds, care and concern during their bereavement. Please continue to keep his family in your prayers and may God’s love and abundant blessings be yours to keep. Thank you and God Bless you.
