Obituary

Lajuanna Boedeker, age 87, passed away on March 22, 2023 in Amarillo. The family of Mrs. Boedeker will have a visitation at 4:00pm-6:00pm, on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Lemons Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm, on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lockney, Texas with Pastor Sean McConathy officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Lajuanna Boedeker was born to R.L. Richards and Vera Bench Richards on December 23, 1935. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1954 and on July 4, 1954, she married Cecil Boedeker, and they had two children, Gary Lynn and Vicki.

Lajuanna graduated from Nursing School in 1982 where she received her LVN License and worked as an LVN until she retired. She played the organ and the piano and she enjoyed painting, she was a good artist. Most importantly, she loved her family and her pets.

Lajuanna is survived by her husband, Cecil Boedeker; her son, Gary Lynn and wife Leah Boedeker; her daughter, Vicki and husband Robby Roderick; brother, Lee Richards; grandchildren: Mindy Morrow, Craig Boedeker, Lori and husband Rhett Rimmer, and Jade and husband Jett Price; great-grandchildren: Josh and Matthew Rodriguez, Sadey and Blake Boedeker, Callie, Channing, and Claire Rimmer, and Myles and Jordan Price.

She is preceded in death by her father, R.L. Richards, her mother, Vera Richards, and granddaughter, Jamie Boedeker.
