Obituary

Jeffery Keith Nagar, age 49, passed away on February 28, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. His family will be hosting a Memorial Service on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 11:00am at Lemons Memorial Chapel in his hometown of Plainview, Texas. Inurnment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park-Cremation Garden.

Jeffery was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to Manuel Nagar Jr. and Betty Nagar on August 4, 1973. When he was a child, his parents moved the family to Plainview, Texas, where he spent the majority of his life. After graduating from Plainview High School, he married and started a family with Rebecca Silva and together they had three children: Aubree, Ethan, and Brandon.

Jeffery was a dedicated employee to Walmart Distribution Center and then later to H-E-B when he moved to San Marcos, Texas in 2007. When he was not working, he spent his free time learning about music from all decades. He would create endless mixtapes, mix CD’s, playlists, and even his own songs when he was learning how to DJ. Music was his favorite thing about life. As a longtime resident of Plainview, he had many friends and was known locally for his sense of humor and outgoing personality. As a loyal friend, he always made sure to call and message his people from his past either late at night or super early in the day. He loved laughing and reminiscing on the good ol’ days no matter what time it was. His laugh and jokes will be missed dearly.

Jeffery is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Nagar, and his grandparents: Manuel Nagar Sr. and Eloisa Nagar.

Jeffery is survived by his daughter, Aubree Avila, and her husband Aaron Avila; his two sons: Ethan Nagar and Brandon Nagar; his two brothers: Manni Nagar and Michael Nagar; his sister, Shondai Baca, and his father, Manuel Nagar Sr. He is also survived by his two grandchildren: Kasun Avila and Amelia Avila.
